This premier print of the series reminds us of God's love for people. Jesus' hands touch the ripe grain that is ready for harvest. This view of a modern harvest scene represents the harvest of souls in these last days before Jesus returns. The clouds of darkness symbolize the impending wave of evil that threatens the harvest completion. The angels are holding back that evil so that the mighty harvesters can bring many souls into Christ's kingdom. Luke 10:2; John 9:4.
